Birth of Moon Yoga

I feel theres a lot of sun energy in the yoga scene these days. People are exploring the fiery side of hatha yoga, but there is more. So allow me to take you on a magical journey into the realms of the calm and the genlte graceful moon yoga.
When ive started watching youtube yogis back in the day i was always discouraged by how thin and beautiful they all are.

I think i secretly wished i could find someone less slim and more relatable more closer then how i am now. But i realised theres no one like that cos its me whos like that. Chuckles...

I have a samanistic upbringing and always have been fascinated by the moon since i was little child and now finally that im in my 30ties and claimed my freedom i found a way to properly celebrate and honour the natural rythm the pulsation of each moon cycle gives us. And im ready to share it in an hour of need when people crave connection to the old ways and to eachother the most. Strangely ive started baking bread recently and thats when the inspiration came to me. The good old ways. The home beaked bread is delicious btw. I was struggling for a long time what kind of value i could give to the world but now i have it.
We will be going into phylosophy and practical theory of why its important to keep track of moon cycles. Some wiccans might find these vids particularly useful. We will circling around the subject of the moon as it circles around mother earth. Please feel free to comment and give ideas if anything pops into mind.

So im dedicating this 28 days of moon yoga series to you the average human, who is just like me has flabs and wants to do something about it.

The goal is not to transform or to astound ourselves with amazing results more like a gentle transition. Exactly what the moon does every cycle. Today is new moon when im writing these sentences down. I advise anyone embarking on this journey with me to adjust it to the moon cycle as much as you can.
My reason for doing this series is simple: i wish to be transparrent and accountable to myself. I lack discipline and i hope that by completing this series and uploading it i am able to finally lead myself into keeping habits.

Each day will have a 10 minutes meditation at the start to help focus inward before the actual yoga starts. I would strongly advise against skipping this. This is not your average yoga course its a package that should be consumed from start to finish.

We are basing our exploration around the 7 single poses of chandra namaskara or the moon salution.

Our first week will be a long inhalation.
The second week will be breath retention, we will swirl the energy that we inhaled around and see if it can stir up anything that doesnt serve anymore.
The third week will be a glorious exhale where we leave behind the gunk.
And lastly we have the week of silence where we turn inward and observe what we experienced and fortify the habbit that we created.

What is Moon Yoga?

Now what is Moon Yoga and what is it good for? Moon yoga is a dynamic yoga which focuses on each individual body part on its own and rather comparing and dividing we try to “separate” and “uplift”. because theres no real way to seperate the body, its one united beingness. but with acknowledging this we must also think about how we view our body parts as seperate and how we unconsciously compare our different sides to eachother. we want to lose this mentality, because as we compare our different sides we compare ourselves to others. this is not healthy, because we have such different lives that we all have led up to this day. Love you all. Zena
